How do I put a roof on my house. I remember when we had a crane put in the joists for our house. It took a huge crane and was done at night. All very exciting. One thing you don’t want to do is put a roof on in the rain. Bricks get slippery when wet. You need a good carpenter. I can’t remember which one we had.
Our brickie was a nutter, building a roof was something he didn’t help with, once the walls were built that was it. Gable ends need to be solid. Our self build mortgage was perfectly fine.
I’m not sure how a roof is put on. I will leave that to the builder. Actually, how do you find a good builder these days?
